Discover this week the last Topshop collection by Kate Moss

After three years and 14 collections, Kate Moss for Topshop will stop to exist as a regular line. The Kate Moss collaboration was launched in 2007 and earlier this year, Topshop cut the frequency of the collections from six per year to just two. Moss' final full collection for the high street store was revealed on the 25th of October, but there will be series of smaller capsule ranges going forward...

The main reason of the split seems that after a very successful start the sales had drastically gone down and the “Kate effect” had pretty much died out. Besides, the collection wasn't so convincing, Kate Moss has a undeniable personal style but she is not a fashion designer. Indeed, her collection largely amounted to items from her own closet that she was just copying. She also seemed uninterested in her line, preferring to wear the originals than the copies (outside of occasional promotional events).

Acardia boss Philip Green said they weren't looking for another muse to replace Kate Moss. Apparently Green's 19 years-old daughter, Chloé, is going to be the new image for Topshop campaigns.
